What is Peakle?

Peakle is a free trivia game where you build a climb by choosing answers with increasing numbers. Start with any name on the board, reveal its value, then find a higher one. Each safe choice earns one point; a lower number or a tie ends the climb.

If you enjoy comparing facts, Peakle gives you a reason to think about their order. Knowing that gold has atomic number 79 is useful, but starting with hydrogen at 1 leaves more room to score. You can take your time: there is no timer.

Peakle example: numbered tiles 1, 6, 8 and 79 climb a mountain staircase toward a green summit flag.
Hydrogen (1) → Carbon (6) → Oxygen (8) → Gold (79): four safe steps on the Elements board.

This is PlayChainle’s independent Peakle edition, with its own boards, scoring and records. Play a daily challenge or switch to Unlimited to practice.

How to play Peakle

  1. Read the category and its measure

Higher always means a larger number. For elements, compare atomic numbers; for U.S. states, compare admission order.

  2. Choose your first answer

Select any of the 20 names on the Peakle board. Its number appears after you choose it. A small starting number leaves more possible steps.

  3. Keep the next number higher

Choose an unused name with a strictly larger number. A lower number or a tie ends your Peakle climb.

  4. Finish and review your route

Reach the board’s highest number to finish at the summit, or choose End this climb. After finishing, you can review the full order.

How does Peakle scoring work?

Peakle scores one point per safe step, including your first choice, up to 20 points. Selecting the largest number first reaches the summit for just one point. Smaller increases leave more answers available above you.

A four-step Peakle example

On the Elements board, Hydrogen (1) → Carbon (6) → Oxygen (8) → Gold (79) earns four points. Hydrogen → Oxygen → Carbon ends on Carbon: 6 is below 8, so only the first two safe steps count. A failed choice keeps the points you already earned.

Peakle daily or unlimited: which should I play?

Daily Peakle: compare the same challenge

Everyone gets the same PlayChainle board for the UTC date, with a new scheduled climb at 00:00 UTC. Your daily result has its own Peakle leaderboard. Any completed daily climb counts toward your completion streak, whatever your score.

Peakle Unlimited: try another approach

Switch to Unlimited above the board for practice that leaves daily scores and streaks alone. New practice climbs draw 20 names from one of six categories; names and categories can recur. If today’s daily board is not published, Peakle Unlimited stays open.

What categories can I play in Peakle?

Peakle includes atomic numbers, U.S. state admission order, presidential numbering, National Pokédex numbers, the 66-book Protestant Bible order and country calling codes. Each board states its measure and links its source. Numbers come from a fixed game snapshot.

Only the board’s 20 names are playable. Presidents with non-consecutive terms appear once under their later number. Countries sharing a calling code use representative names; the code is an identifier, so compare the number rather than population or size.

Peakle FAQ

Is Peakle free, and do I need an account?

This Peakle edition is free to play in your browser without an account or download. On a phone, tap a name to choose it. With a keyboard, search the list, use the arrow keys and press Enter.

Can I undo a Peakle answer?

No. Selecting a name immediately reveals its number and commits the step. You cannot reuse a name. A lower number or a tie ends the climb, so check the category’s measure before choosing.

Where can I find today’s Peakle answers?

After your climb ends, open “Review this board’s full order” to see every answer from lowest to highest. The Peakle answers archive also lists published PlayChainle boards. These solutions apply only to this independent edition.

Will Peakle save my progress?

Peakle saves daily progress and your latest practice climb in this browser when device storage is available. Daily progress also syncs to online records when the connection is available. If a save is pending or fails, keep the page open and use Retry sync when offered. Practice stays on this device; clearing browser data removes its save.
